Kayleen (Junior) presented her research on cyclases at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) in Anaheim from November 13th-16th 2019. This event, managed by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), hosts over 2,500 students and just received the 2019 Excellence in STEM Education Award. She was able to give a poster presentation as well as go to several professional and scientific talks and interact with other aspiring biomedical researchers from across the country. She had an amazing time and looks forward to going back next year.
